Kingswood Training Courses
We provide a wide range of tree surgery training courses for the arboricultural and forestry industries. These range from basic chainsaw training skills, safety training and felling trees, right through to advanced climbing and dismantling. These courses are usually run from our purpose built training facility in Kent.
Our courses fall into two categories - Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA) and Separate Training and Assessment (STA).
ITA courses, such as useage of woodchippers, stumpgrinders etc., include LANTRA certification. STA courses, including almost all chainsaw training and climbing courses have to have a separate assessment by the National Proficiency Test Council (NPTC). Holding an NPTC certificate is a legal requirement for working in the industry and we can arrange your assessment for you.
All the courses are run on demand and are usually for four candidates at a time.
The exact duration of each course is dependant on the individuals existing level of skills or experience. Courses can be tailored to clients specific requirements to minimise training costs and downtime. Please complete our online enquiry form to help us assess your specific requirements.
For candidates travelling some distance we can provide a comprehensive package which includes self-catering accommodation and hire of all equipment and protective clothing. For members of the armed forces who are re-training this is usually fairly well funded.
Kingswood Trees Services our sister company have been providing a professional service in all aspects of tree care for 20 years in West Kent and the surrounding area.
